Where do we play?
Dandenong Basketball Stadium, 270 Stud Rd, Dandenong

Where do we train?
Serbian Sports Centre (SSC) located at: 310/318-322 Perry Rd, Keysborough.

 

What are the expectations of the members of our club?
Members includes players, their families, coaches, team managers and committee. All members are expected to represent the club in a positive way and abide by the code of conduct

White Eagles BC Domestic coaches should not be expected to run fantastic plays, win games & trophies. 
The primary job of a domestic coach is to keep kids engaged in the sport.
Whilst encouraging a fun environment seems simple, there are a variety of factors that this includes.

  • Managing playing time so every athlete in involved

  • Challenging the better athletes and keeping them engaged 

  • Setting mini goals within games to take the focus off the score

If it is the first time you are registering with PlayHQ, then there will be a fee between $25-$30 to use this platform.

White Eagles registration fee for domestic Winter 2022 season is $250.
This covers both training and competition.

What time are the matches?
U10 teams usually play between 9am-11am
U12 teams usually play between 11am-1pm
U14 teams usually play between 1pm-4pm
U16 teams usually play between 4pm-7pm

​

Are Fill-in Players allowed?
We are only allowed 2 fill-in players. 

Please register your child as the registration includes insurance cover.

 

Can a player play in more than one age group?

Yes, a player can play in more than one age group but it can be only one age higher. 
Example an 11 year old can play U12 and U14 but cannot play U16.

Walkover Fines?
If we do not have enough players to play a match, then the club will be fined. 
Please let the coach and team manager know in advance if your child cannot play. 
Please check the fixtures online as sometimes there are changes to the start time and court.

Club Transfers
If you child is registered for another club, then they will need to get a clearance from Dandenong Basketball Association.
Contact us if you are registered for another club and wish to play for White Eagles.

Roles and Responsibilities
Each team will need a Team Manager who will liaise with the WE junior coordinator (Borivoje) and create a parent roster for scoring and submit the team sheet for each game.

Parents will need to score once in two months. Often parents will get one of the siblings to score which is allowed.

​

Team Communication
Basketball Parents Group on Viber is the method of communication.
As the club grows, we will need to create a separate Viber chat for each team which will be managed by the Team Manager.

Is there an option to just train?
Yes, there is an option to just train.

Only training fees then apply which is $125.
Once your child is confident to play competition, then we will have your child registered for games. 

 

What does the club expect from players who are registered with the club?
Players are expected to show commitment to their team by attending training regularly and turning up reliably for games at least 15 minutes prior to starting time. Apart from illness, injury, or an occasional special event, players are expected to be available for all games and training and to advise their coach and team manager in advance if they cannot play or attend training for any reason.
